SSUR 2012 Holiday Collection

While SSUR is certainly no rookie to the realm of streetwear, the hardwork of founder Russ Karablin has culminated in the brand’s most successful year to date. Bolstered by its diffusion label, “The Cuts,” SSUR has brought to the table some of streetwear’s previously lost reverence which incorporated provocation and discussion. The new SSUR Holiday 2012 line takes on some classical angles including some notable logo flips and of course, an homage to SSUR’s roots of New York City.

Givenchy 2012 Fall/Winter Shark-Print Hoodie

French fashion house Givenchy‘s latest offering is a spin-off to their Pre-Fall Winter 2012 shark print T-shirt and sweatshirt. The open jaw shark-print hoodie is yet another alluring piece that exhibits Givenchy’s streetwear meets high-fashion aesthetics. Here, the house uses a black/grey hoodie as canvas, producing an eloquent dream-like composition with the assistance of a few mermaids, five-point stars and a carnivores shark jaw that sprawls across the chest and shoulders. Even as the artwork draws on heavy influences from 17th century European art, the garment still remains immensely current, again exhibiting creative director Riccardo Tisci‘s Gothic design work in contemporary abstract manner. Stussy International Tribe 2012 Fall/Winter Collection

  Inspired by Stussy‘s iconic varsity jacket, the streetwear purveyor created a collection revolved around its longstanding International Tribe member movement for the Holiday 2012 season. Starting with a reworked two-tone jacket made in extremely limited quantities by Golden Bear in the USA, the seasonal range continues with a basic black hoodie, paisley button-up, sweatpants, snapbacks, pins and stickers. This “S” embellished collection will be available in Japan starting November 23 and in North America Chapters beginning December 7, 2012.
